The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't clean areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ swiftly eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one spot rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It was able to collect small gravel, sand and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. It did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water that allows them to mop and vacuum your home at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often lower prices on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. disappoint. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums fail. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones or alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It has a large LCD screen which is helpful in setting up schedules and altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people, but it's one that can help you keep track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and functionality are some of the most advanced available however it's expensive.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does a good job picking up dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. read more 's not able to climb stairs as well as some competitors, either and doesn't come with a dock that lets you to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price price.
If you're looking to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of other great choices on the market which include a variety of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with additional features such as the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors as well as carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's easy to set it up, just attach one of the side brush, turn it on and plug in your charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock near an outlet for power and enough space to allow it to move, however.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.
The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and where it can't access. It will return to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials like cereal.
